Customer Reviews
Drinks were full to the top, but there needed to be another person on staff to take drink orders as we were waiting for reorder of drinks often due to lack of staff. We ordered lots of food but were never overwhelmed with too much food at the table as they were able to spread it out as they cooked it, they would bring it out. It was leveled up bar food, but overall good food. Angela was a great waitress. Atmosphere was cozy. Their outdoor patio with all the plants looked like a nice garden patio area tucked away from the rest of the town. Nice place to get away and visit with company.
The Plymouth Hotel is a wonderful family-run spot with so much charm. The food is made fresh, so yeah — you might wait a little — but it’s always worth it. The pizzas, the lumpia, and honestly the best palomas in the Sierra Foothills. Karaoke nights are always a blast, and the old historic building has that perfect mix of character and comfort. Just a great local hangout run by great people. Highly recommend.
Plymouth Hotel Plymouth, California Bar and restaurant. Despite the name, lodging is not available. My family, friends and I love this place. It is reasonably priced, has a full bar, and very good bar food (try the lumpia, potato crunchies, smash burgers, street tacos…) The only negatives I can think of are 1) it can be pretty noisy, especially if there is live music (don’t sit near the stage (near the entrance)), and 2) bar and kitchen service can be a little slow when they are busy. Staff is friendly! Great backyard patio. Open Thursday - Saturday evenings.
Another revived jewel in the Gold Country. It used to be a place one could skip. But since the new owner Elizabeth and team took it over it is shining again. They have a good drinks selection, a pizza oven in the back and some programming to bring locals and visitors alike together, like the their monthly karaoke night. Above all is the heartfelt hospitality- with the owner Elizabeth at its helm. The hotel has a storied history- with secret tunnels ( for unsavory reasons) back in the day. Currently the hotel does not have rooms for rent.
What a great place! We just moved down the street from here and have been a few times now for dinner. We sat at the bar to eat and drink and received great service each time. My first time there (solo) Hailey was working and she kindly introduced me to some regulars and gave me recommendations on what to do in the area. The food is fantastic too! We’ve had their pizza, lumpia, street tacos, and nacho taters. Great cocktail menu too!
