Pleasant River Drive-In

Passing through I decided to stop at this little roadside drive in. The people were very pleasant and friendly. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Haddock dinner. Also get yourself a milkshake. You won’t regret it. Definitely will be stopping here again.

We had a great lunch here today. First we were greeted by the wonderful staff through the window. Ordered a couple of cheese burgers with small fries and small onion rings. Relieved we didn’t order a large 🤣. The burgers were cooked perfect on a soft bun. They asked what we wanted for toppings, no charge. Fries were tasty & crispy but the onion rings, in our opinion, were the star. Thin sliced, lightly dusted then fried and crispy 😋. We piled them on our burgers 😃. Not having much of an opportunity to get soft serve, we dove in for some. Vanilla soft serve dipped in Cherry 👏🏻. It tasted great. Had a wonderful rich finish. Not at all waxy like some places have. On top of all this, met a wonderful local couple. Definitely going back soon!

Excellent service, burgers, prices, and milk shakes! The whole place is adorable, quiet to drive up to, and not usually too busy! It is conveniently located in the middle of nowhere, but also in close proximity to plenty of wilderness and areas to explore! Would recommend to anyone passing by and will be returning again before my leave!

Super tasty, traditional roadside drive-in! Highly recommend. The full clam belly dinner was a hit with my crew.

Good food! The fries seem different than last ownership, but in a very good way. The haddock was good. Cost in general seems slightly high on pricing for the area though. While it won’t break our bank to enjoy every once in a while, I’m almost certain that this will make it hard for this establishment to pull of a long term success here. I hope I’m wrong, we like having this place around.
