Plate Sushi Grill

The Plate is worth a visit for the tom kha chicken and earns the 5 star rating. I’d order that again, especially for takeout. The duck empanadas were also very good. The spicy shrimp dumplings were decent but not served quite warm enough. The crispy crab bites were a miss for us — and in a rare move my husband left some on the plate.

This place is new but you really can't tell. They have friendly staff, a cool vibe and the FOOD is amazing. Honestly, everything we tried was at least 4.5 out of 5. The ONLY complaint was about the miso soup in that its not as strong tasting as our favorite place back home. But I'm sure they'll dial that in. I'm writing this review and wishing I could have the duck and the pork belly bao buns. Yes, they're that good.

If anything, they have too much to pick from. The pork bun is outstanding and a very nice portion. Thai fried rice w shrimp was good with the perfect heat level when you ask for hot. Fried pork dumplings and spicy tuna roll great flavor and fresh. Friendly service.

I had a wonderful dinner here Friday night. I ordered what the bar tender said was good. Yellowfin tuna. Duck taco. Pork belly taco. Small plates with big portions. Lots of seating at the bar. You can see into the kitchen so it’s cool to watch the chefs prepare the food.

Was pleasantly surprised. Everything about this restaurant was a 5 star. Service was great, very attentive staff and friendly. Atmosphere was awesome, nicely decorated, loves the sushi bar and open kitchen, very spacious with outside seating. Food was delicious. I ordered the octopus and mussels. Octopus was tender and flavorful, the mussels were in a red curry coconut sauce with bread. I had to order more bread to enjoy all the sauce. Then I had the soft shell sushi roll and the Philadelphia roll and they were very fresh and beautifully presented. The best part is the prices were really good. My bill was $41 for two people. I didn’t get a picture of the Philly roll and I had a bit of the octopus before I realized I didn’t get a picture. I highly recommend this place.
