Plant Base

I never knew this place was in Jersey City so I was excited to try it. I called in my order with this really nice young lady. I ordered the Zak Wrap and it came to $12 and some change. I wanted a side of fries but they didn't have french fries. When I arrived I found parking in front of the restaurant. When I walked in the restaurant looked real Earthy and you could tell it was a vegan spot. They also had small grocery items they sold. I told another nice young lady I was there to pick up and my name and I paid. The customer service there is very good. When I left and went home, I ate and the wrap was tasty. The mac and cheese needed a little more salt but everything else was good. I would definitely be back for more.

My favorite spot ON EARTH! Zero waste market and vegan cafe, need I say more? Yes.. The food is fresh made from scratch and unforgettable. I just wished I lived closer but I travel for good vegan food and always crave these delicious creations. I discovered today they are now a non-profit with a community center/outdoor garden and free community fridge to fight food insecurity in their community. Inspiring 🙌 Makes me even more happy to support ! Kudos chefs. Please open up one near me.

Stopped in here after looking for local vegan restaurants near the Liberty State Park that my guy and I were visiting. Plant Base is less than 2 miles from the park. I liked that they had a small outdoor seating area, but I forgot to take a pic of it. I was very hungry and just wanted to get inside to place my order. The place is nice and clean. They have many of the fresh produce items (much of which is organic) that they use in their meals and drinks in carts in the center of the restaurant in a cute rustic fashion. They also sell dry beans, seeds, spices, oats, and the like... I didn’t search that area long, because the focus was on placing my order, though I did get a picture. We both ordered the 3 for $10 tacos as they were highly recommended by a couple who sat not far from the regis

Loved it! Everyone was so friendly, and I'm always psyched to support a small zero-waste vegan spot! Forget the name of the tacos I got, but would 120% come back again to get them!

A friend asked me to drop off some coffee grounds to @plantbasemarket and I found a vegan jewel here in Jersey City. I have a very big appreciation and admiration for a true vegan place that does things old school also. This place is nonprofit and they give out free organic food from a refrigerated unit in front. U can literally just walk up, grab a few veggies and be on your way.
