Plainfield Public Library

Tonight we attended a class on how to grow sprouts and microgreens and took home a free starter kit complete with potting soil, containers and beans. The children's area is a MUST visit and is so cleverly and cozily adorned.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the library for continuing the pillowcase stamping craft program, even though the library is currently closed. Your dedication to keeping this creative and fun opportunity alive outside the library means so much to all of us who love crafting and community. Your commitment helps us stay connected, inspired, and crafty .Thank you for making this program possible beyond the library walls. I sincerely thank all the hardworking staff in the Children’s Department for your dedication and effort, especially in this hot weather. Your commitment to creating a welcoming and engaging environment for the kids does not go unnoticed. Thank you for going above and beyond, rain or shine, to make sure every child has a wonderful experience!

If you love it when your calls don't get picked up, this is the place for you. Biggest hassle for the simplest of questions. Circulation desk never picks up. And they do an extremely poor job of informing the public when they are closed or not, instead their solution is to hide the phones and give the cold shoulder. It shouldn't be that hard to update the google page and/or the automated machine when you call (what people look/go to the most). The lack of consideration/communication is appalling. Im servery upset to think this is the public library im constrained to. No summer reading for the Plainfield youth i guess. Thanks a lot.

I’m telling you,all the bad reviews are from a long time ago, the staff are so polite and helpful! The children’s room is beautiful , and all the people inside the building are mindful of their noise and will keep it quiet. Library cards are easy to get and they give you a good time length for returning when you’re taking a book home! I love this library :D

How is possible this librery is still closed at the winter time it's unbelievable . The new update we are open year 2027
