PJ's Coffee

Went for the first time yesterday on Mardi Gras. I tried the King Cake latte. It didn't even taste like espresso was used and there was nothing sweet about it at all. It tasted like straight coffee. I also tried a slice of traditional king cake. It had a very thick layer of icing on it and a thick layer of colored sugar. I had to scrape all of it off because it was just too much. I really wanted to like this place. The cashier wasn't very talkative when asking about drinks about either. I even explained it was my first time so I was sure what drinks I would like. Pictured is half a slice of cake after I cut mine in half to share with my husband.

I got the Iced Banana Fosters with oat milk and it was such a fun and unique drink. I took one star away because they didn’t have an oat milk cold foam option, but even without that, my drink was the tops. Didn’t try any food so can’t judge that. I’m sure I’ll return here again.

Awesomeness! A new coffee shop that opened after Thanksgiving 2024 in Middleburg, I just discovered this today and decided to go try it out after lunch. It was worth it. Co- owner Kena, took our order, very accommodating and very friendly. It will make anyone feel comfortable and welcome. Go try it out.

The butter rum latte was delicious. They however ran out of some of the holiday season flavors they are advertising for the season. The beignets were good but took a sizable amount of time to come out compared to them giving us our drinks. I don’t think they needed the dipping sauces which were all extremely sweet for my taste and cost additional .50 each. They do need to wipe down the tables a little better.

Calling their drinks "coffee" is an insult to coffee drinks. I tried three times and only one of those times it was drinkable. Beignets are delicious and that's what my 2 stars are for. That and how nice the ladies at the window are. But yeah, no. Never again getting coffee from here. Throwing it away and getting wawa. It's like they use drip coffee to make iced lattes and it tastes burnt. Wouldn't recommend.
