P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant - Lawrence Park

Our family really enjoys going to PJ Whelihan’s in Broomall! The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is consistently great! the wings are some of the best we’ve had, and the kids love their meals too. It’s a comfortable place where we can relax, have a good meal, and enjoy time together. Everything is clean, well-organized, and the service is fast even when it’s busy. We’re always happy to come back, highly recommend this spot for families or anyone looking for a casual, friendly restaurant with great food!

The food menu was pretty basic, I expected more of a variety from such a large sports bar/restaurant/pub. The grilled shrimp…on the shrimp tacos were good, other than that…it just contained a lot of bland filler. The drink menu was great, but the drinks barely had any alcohol in them. I got 2 drinks to test it out thinking maybe it was just the first drink but no; the verdict was the same. I had a Sunset drink with Rum and a Margarita with Tequila and left the restaurant without any buzz at all. The drinks were too sweet. Way too much mixer, and not enough liquor. I shouldn’t have to pay extra for shots to go into my mixed drink. The service and atmosphere is great, plenty of big screen tv’s for any games you wanna watch. Our server Katherine was phenomenal! Such a great person. Not over bearing . Very talkative , smiled and thanked us for coming in. You do not see this all the time in our young people anymore. This place is a great spot to eat. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious, especially the wings. However, I’ve had a couple of issues with the takeout service. Twice now, when I’ve specifically ordered “flats only” wings for takeout, I’ve received a mix of drums and flats. The latest incident happened tonight when my wife ordered ten wings, flat only, but we only received five drums and four flats. We didn’t even get the full amount of wings. I understand that they might not have enough flats to fulfill the order, but it would be better to inform us in such cases. Overall, I still enjoy the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Liv was my server and she was fabulous! She knew the menu so well and recommended the sampler and it was delicious and a good variety of options to choose from. Will definitely return and request her if she’s working.
