You can really taste the difference in their homemade sauce; it’s perfectly spiced with their in-house seasoning. Every slice was consistent with the high quality I’ve come to expect from their menu. One of the biggest standouts for me is their vegan and allergy-friendly selection. My nephew has severe allergies to milk, soy, and nuts, so finding a safe spot is usually a challenge. This place is an absolute neighborhood gem. I live right nearby and keep coming back for the cheese calzone, which is massive, perfectly cheesy, and only $13. It’s easily enough for two meals, so I usually split it or save half for later. In DC, especially around Logan Circle, that’s an incredible deal. Their desserts are also excellent, and while I tend to stick to my usual order, everything else on the menu that I’ve tried (and seen coming out of the kitchen) looks great. Consistently good food, great value, and always happy to support a local spot.

Exactly what you need for a pizza place that isn’t from a large chain. As someone from I’m New Jersey, you’re not always looking for a fine dining experience when craving pizza. You want a place that smells like semolina four and has sodas stocked in the fridge. Pizzoli’s has reliable service, the pizza is cheesy, has good sauce, and the crust tastes proper. I’ve never ordered anything else off the menu, but have frequented here multiple times for a good pie.

I hadn’t ordered from Pizzoli’s in years and I definitely missed them. The pizza is still good. It’s nothing fancy and no special ingredients which is nice. You get oily, greasy, and salty goodness which is what I love. The pasta and hot Italian sandwich were not great. I’ll definitely order pizza again and I think I used to really like their wings. I can’t remember exactly, so I’ll have to order again. If you’re looking for a good greasy pizza and not the fancy overpriced artisan stuff that doesn’t fill you up, go with pizzolis. It’s fast, filling, and priced incredibly well for the area.
