Pizzanada

Pizzanada is a family-owned spot that opened in March 2020, run by a husband-and-wife team. It’s become a North Jersey favorite for both traditional and vegan comfort food. I’ve honestly never seen such a large vegan menu before, and as someone who doesn’t usually go for vegan food, I was pleasantly surprised! The regular menu is just as impressive, and everything tastes homemade. The empanadas were a standout definitely a must-try. If you’re in Bloomfield, this is a place worth checking out.

Not the easiest area to find parking but for this delicate food it is worth it. I was introduced to this wonderful place by a friend and I was not disappointed. Customer service was great which is highly underrated. Food was prepared fresh and tons of options for vegan and gluten free!!!!! My big back wants to try everything on the menu!!!

I ordered the Cuban empanada, the cheesesteak empanada, and the Italian hotdog empanada. All three were hot and delicious! Big fan of the Cuban empanada; there’s just something so delightful about those warm bites of pickle inside! The cheesesteak empanada is pretty self explanatory, but very good nonetheless. The Italian hotdog empanada was very good, but I would’ve liked some ketchup either in it or on the side; it just needed that extra something.

Their pizza is pretty delicious. The crust is thin but chewy. I love that they have a lot of vegetarian / vegan options. We ordered delivery on the Slice app and it initially said 40-50 min, but then immediately got another text saying it would be more than an hour until delivery. It *actually* arrived 55 min after we ordered. Not sure what to make of that, but the pizza was hot and delicious when it arrived so I'm happy.

Fantastic experience! We came from out of state and they did not disappoint. Glad they had singular slices to try—I really enjoyed sampling a little bit of everything from their MASSIVE vegan menu! So so so many options it was almost overwhelming! We ordered a hero sandwich, cheese pizza slices, grandpa pizza slice, garlic knots, jalapeño poppers, crunchy mac and cheese rolls, and the zeppoles (she gave us some of their vegan Nutella also). Yummmmmm my favorite was the cheese pizza and the zeppoles. The marinara they use is also yummy with a rich tomato flavor, and I’m usually picky about red sauce. The woman who hosted us was very sweet and friendly and also gave us some extra Nutella for the road. Overall a lovely experience and we’ll be sure to stop back in next time we’re on the east
