Pizza Hyena

***THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THEIR AIRPORT LOCATION*** I preface this by saying I was half way through my meal when I decided to review this place because ITS SOOOO GOOOD!. My pictures reflect this. The pizza is phenomenal. Just get one. The wood fired wings with Buffalo on the side were tremendous. The Buffalo sauce is not some shelf sauce, it's different and delicious. Tons of flavor. Spicy! Jason served us and is an absolute pleasure. Great conversation, and he served everyone with a huge smile. This guy hustled! Hello from Texas my friend.

My name is Juls, I rarely eat sandwiches and I just had a turkey sandwich at the airport Hyena location and it was the best I have ever had. I’m totally it was made by Thomas. The service from Lexi was top-notch. I told her how I didn’t like sandwiches and she recommended the perfect one for me. The atmosphere was excellent, great music and It looks like everyone works very well together. I am so glad I gave them a try.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!! Everything was entirely delightful, from our pizzas and sandwich, to even the drinks, which had a nice, syrupy taste that wasn't flat or watered down! Our server, Payton (Sorry if the spelling is incorrect), was attentive, very friendly and personable, and nailed our orders! And it was so encouraging to see that this business does not appear to use GenAI for their logo, and their straws are made from recycled plastic! All-in-all a fantastic local business by the ocean with affordable pricing and food worth raving about! Thank you for a great dining experience!

We were just happy to have an alternative to standard NY Style Pizza. I would love to return and try some different toppings. For me, a great neapolitan pizza requires San Marzano Tomatoes and the ol' Mozzarella di Bufala, but that's harder to come by in the U.S. The 00 Flour is always nice to have. The bruschetta was great! The service was nice and the environment perfect for the location. The "sweet tea" was terrible. Definitely not a normal southern sweet tea. Pricing was as expected for the location.

We're staying at Surfside Beach Resort, so naturally, this was a "must-try" place. We went at dinnertime. It was busy, but our server was on top of things. We just wanted to get a few appetizers to try a variety of food. Hyena Balls (in pizza sauce) served with "warm ripped pizza bread", Roasted Red Pepper Hummus (with fresh veggies and the same bread, and Nekkid Chicken Wings (10 in an order). It was PLENTY of food and REALLY good!! Highly recommend!
