Pita Chip

My god the food was so fresh and so delicious! Every item was extraordinary and unbelievably tasty! And I am a very picky eater! I felt great and not too heavy after the meal. Highly recommended. Excellent low key restaurant for a casual meal.

Stumbled upon Pita Chip while looking for a quick halal lunch during a visit to Philly. I didn’t know what to expect, but the combo over rice was flavorful and satisfying—hit the spot without being too heavy. The food came out quickly and had a nice balance of spices and sauces. If I lived in Philly, this would definitely be one of my go-to spots for casual, reliable halal food. Great option for a quick bite that doesn’t compromise on taste.

Nice food and good portion. We love the convenience of the location as it is a few steps from CHOP. They have a kid meal that comes with drink for 9.99. Love their spicy chicken kabab.

Wonderful experience! The food is tasty, especially the pickles, and you can have as many types as you want. The man behind the counter was SO friendly and was regaling me about the first time he tried hummus at Wawa! Everyone was speaking Arabic behind the counter, which felt so home-y. Next time I will try a pita.

It’s been a while to come here and there are some updates about the menu: There’s no beef/lamb shawarma anymore. Kababish version of ground beef you can have. Since I’m not that brave to try new tastes I didn’t get it and moved on with chicken shawarma. Chicken could have been a little bit well-cooked and marinated but not a big deal. Staff rotates a lot here but the ones that I’ve met were so kind and helpful. Amount of food you get is pretty generously given 👍 I will miss beef gyro ☺️
