I really enjoy taking my dog to this area. On hot days, I take my pup to the canoe water entryway and throw a plastic retriever toy for him. (The river cools him down.) This is a day park with RV parking and a visitor center. It has a nice long walking trail. They prefer your dog on a leash and have dog potty bags.
When you gotta go, this is the place! People come from miles around to do their paperwork here. No joke.
