Pier M33 On The Cheboygan

My husband said it was one of the best burgers he’s had! A couple of us got the fish and chips and I would definitely order it again. Their fried cheese curds were good. We sat outside with the view of the water and the marina and it was so enjoyable.

Husband surprised me a place we both haven't been too. Glad he did. We sat outside the view over the river. Great relax atmosphere❤️ We did lunch. Not busy. Waitress was good and friendly. Prices $7 appetizer $21 on up. Had the fish basket 3 PC. Along with a shrimp basket. It was good.

We made reservations for 4 and were sat for dinner vert quickly even though the restaurant was almost at full capacity. I read a review from someone earlier that expected faster service, maybe they didn't reserve ahead, or maybe they're just used to fast food? Either way, we couldn't have been happier with our service, the food and the timing. We tried several apps and they came out fairly quickly. Eliza our server was on point and our glasses were never empty. I got the carribean smoked pork steak and was very pleased, it had great flavor and a beautiful presentation! The last two times I've been here, I've had to wait 45 minutes for a burger!!! Always excuses, but I'm betting the kitchen staff is standing around out back getting baked themselves... It wouldn't have been so bad, or at least excusable, had our server kept us informed of the issues, but no, she rarely checked on us or communicated the problem until after I complained. When the burgers finally arrived, one, ordered medium, was charred beyond recognition. Our friend wouldn't, or couldn't even eat it; mine was fine, ordered at 145 degrees, medium rare. Ridiculous... BTW- they don't even offer a plain cheeseburger on the menu, only fancy crap that I think many people don't even want!!! The menu looks interesting but I can't comment on the flavor because we didn't get to eat. The place was busy and a young woman asked if it was OK if we sat at the bar since there weren't any tables. We agreed and she sat us with menus and silverware. 20 minutes later nobody had stopped by to give us drinks or even acknowledged our presence. I ended up going back to the hostess desk where a manager explained that they don't serve food at the bar, which apparently the employee didn't know. There were still no tables available so we left. There was a show in town which accounted for the extra guests so hopefully the place runs smoother on a quieter evening.
