Phoenix Mills Plaza Retail shopping plaza on Rte 96. Victor, NY

Went late arrived around 7pm looking for dinner. Had a choice of Kansas city Hot Chicken or 96 BBQ. Chose BBQ and was pleasantly surprised! From the appearance outside unsure if it was take-out only, so had my husband check if they had tables. You immediately are welcomed with the wonderful aroma of good BBQ. Service was good once you got your table. The food came to the table quickly. Excellent appearance and the portions were generous. I found both the ribs and brisket to be tender and well seasoned. Bark on brisket was beautiful with a little of a peppery bite. Ribs (half rack) were fall of the bone tender. Corn bread was a bit sweet but moist. Smokehouse beans were meaty with good sauce. We will return to try more of the menu.

Disappointed .no canandian drink..only one white chardonnay to choose from. Wasn't told there a up charge for my salad dressing. My son and husband both had chicken french.it was not traditional chicken french it was a chicken breast swimming in lemon sauce The 3 cookie things were so hard we couldn't cut them.server was quite good but all in all for what we spent 5 couples probably won't be back again.

The best thing were the fries and the pickles. We were told the food would take 20 minutes, which wasn't a problem, the the food came out cold, or barely room temp, all of it, the meats 4x4 and sides (except fries, those were fresh and hot) which was surprising, since my wife and I were the only ones dining in, all the tables were empty, my guess is the locals tried and haven't returned. Or the staff was just more focused on catering or take out, then the patrons dining in. The BBQ wasn't that good, the Yukon gold was a touch better, they should have more sauce options for bbq joint. Service was fine and the restaurant was clean. All in all, it was not a terrible experience, just a shame the food was served cold, decet flavor, but cold food is off putting. We won't be returning.

Excellent service and BBQ Prices are good

Woulda been 5 out of 5 but I said ABSOLUTELY no pickles and there was a pickle on my plate. The serving size was very good and the food was delicious. Corn bread was dry but the meat, mac n cheese and French fries were delicious
