As a Pho lover, plseeeeessss go find another place… not fresh sprouts, pho soggy, plain soup flavor, chicken wings the skin was crispy, inside was dry, not too bad.. pork in spicy pho was extremely dry, hard and smelly, threw away..
The food here is excellent! The pho is very flavorful, light, yet filling. The food is great for hangovers, recovering from stomach bugs, shaking off the winter chill, or when you're looking for comfort food. My only complaint is that you only get 2 egg rolls for $6, another pho restaurant offers 3 for $6. So paying $12 for 4 egg rolls hurt my feelings a little bit. Other than that it's a great little restaurant tucked away in the heart of McDonough.
My wife and I went in this evening and enjoyed some ribs and curry chicken with a side of rice and vegetables. The food was delicious and well cooked. The restaurant was generally full with people at most tables and people coming in for takeout, but the staff appeared to be able to handle well today. The restaurant is not large in scale. I had a decent time there today. Thank you for the service!
Pho flavor was ok, it was lacking full pho flavor. It needed more pho bouillon or pho beef paste. It was packed with thin and tender beef protein, so no complaints there. Had a bowl of chicken pho, it was good according to the eater. It had nice chunks of chicken, we’re used to having shredded so this was a nice portion of chicken protein. The bahn mi sandwich was good and had a good crispy texture. Wished we got the Vietnamese mini pancakes as appetizers, but it came after we received the pho which was fine. It was so good though! It had a crispy savory coconut after taste from the pancake. It paired really well with the fish sauce. Where I’m from they don’t make the mini pancakes. So we’re just thankful we had some comfort food.
If you’re looking for a light yet tasty vegan pho this is your place. The veggie pho comes with noodles, fried & raw onions, bok choy, broccoli, and tofu. I didn’t like the tofu…it was overcooked/bland which is why I ordered extra broccoli and bok choy on the side (steamed just right, but could use a little more seasoning). Overall the pho was delicious. I added sriracha and chili oil to spicy it up!
