Pho Saigon

We’ve been coming here for at least 10 years and it is my favorite restaurant in Macon and some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had! It’s always delicious. The owner is so friendly and kind, the staff are great, just all around a great local place. Some of our favorites are spring rolls (all of them are delicious), fried tofu, beef pho, and lemongrass chicken or tofu.

The calamari appetizer had really good flavor but was a bit more chewy than normal. The Pho was very good. They have plenty of sauces to flavor your soup as you like. The service was good. They kept our waters full and made we had everything week needed. The atmosphere was ok. We went on a Tuesday for lunch. It would help if they had music playing to with the atmosphere. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our meal. The menu is pretty big so we will definitely come back to try our a new item.

Very clean and friendly. Food is fresh so expect a little longer to make. I'll be back next time visiting Macon.

We got diarrhea from the Pho... When we tasted the Pho, we knew something wasn't right! We added sirracha and soy sauce, salt and pepper to make it taste somewhat better... We were told that they were out of fresh basil, so they loaded us up on cilantro. Bad idea! It was way too much, it tasted like soap! They must have been out of meat too... because, they divided one portion of meat between the three of us, (as seen in one of the photos of a previous review). The price was $17.00 per order This is our first, and last time here! Gordon Ramsey would say "I need to know where the bathroom is!"

The food is good but very overpriced! 5 things and was $80. We ordered the XL bowl of soup but it was the L bowl now. The price went up and the size went down. The beef dish was literally 1 cup rice and 1 cup beef dish and it was $20. The fried rice was $16. The 5 piece chicken wings and it was not even the whole wing but was in half was $10. That is so expensive. For a family of 4 we were not full afterwards. We could gave gone to a buffet and be satisfied. Heck we could have eaten at chikfila and be fuller. It was a rip off.
