When you are sick and tired and the weather is cold, you know a bowl of pho would be perfect. I picked Pho Guru because I drove by and saw a pho restaurant in this area, which made me curious to try it. We dined in for lunch. At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong
This pho restaurant is an absolute gem! The broth is rich, flavorful, it tastes authentic and comforting in every sip. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the meat is fresh and tender, and the portions are generous. We have also tried their amazing rice and Bun Bo Hue. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always make you feel at home, which makes the whole dining experience even better. If you’re craving a comforting bowl of pho, highly recommend and definitely coming back again.
Today, we tried the Guru Pho, their signature pho noodle soup featuring a variety of meat toppings. The rare steak, brisket, tripe, and tendon were all tender and enjoyable, though the meatballs were a bit chewy. I usually prefer meatballs with a springier texture when bitten. The broth had a rich, savory flavor but was missing the usual aromatic herbs that often enhance this dish. I plan to try the pho again to see if the taste remains consistent or improves. We also ordered the grilled pork spring rolls, which were delicious and served with a peanut dipping sauce.
The special combination beef pho is very satisfying. The broth is clear, rich, and flavorful without being too heavy. It comes with a generous variety of meats including rare beef, brisket, fatty flank, tendon, tripe, and beef meatballs. Each cut has a great texture, and everything pairs well with the soft rice noodles. A must-try if you want the full pho experience.
This place is a great place to have some decent Banh Mi! I got the grilled chicken one and absolutely liked the flavor. It definitely kept me full for the rest of the day. The service was a bit slow but the servers were really kind. I also liked the ambiance of the place and will be back to try more menu items.
