Pho Duoi Bo

Walked in around 1:30 pm on a Saturday and it was somewhat busy, but we were seated immediately for a party of 2. They specialize in pho so practically the entire menu is pho. We ordered the special oxtail pho combination $22.75 and pho kobe torched on the side $22.75. Clean, quality, flavorful broth. Didn't taste salty, but I felt thirsty after since I'm super sensitive to salt. I like that they don't charge extra for fresh noodles. Reasonable portions. Quality meat. The kobe beef was our favorite meat. Very flavorful, not too fatty, but fully cooked, maybe should have asked if they can just lightly torch the meat. Nice clean small/medium sized restaurant. Pricey pho and it was unfortunately mid. Got the pho Kobe ($23). The meat was wasn't that tender and it was cut too thick. I feel pho dao has better meat quality. Broth was just ok. I feel pho San Jose has more flavorful broth but obviously not as clean. Also got a side of torched kobe ($12). Tasted fine but again def not Kobe much less a5 or anything near and was still charged insane prices. After tax and tip, the meal came out to $40 for just me. Overall, it's not bad but the price point doesn't match the quality. Prob wouldn't make a detour to come back any time soon.

A pretty high quality pho restaurant that solely focuses on this beef pho broth they have along with various cuts of filet mignon they use It's a little salty with hints of msg! I ordered #12 that had a flank slice, a fatty slice and a steak that came in multiple slices! There was also a thin noodle that was just alright inside. The toppings that they include are bean sprouts and lime as well as mint. But you can order some more premium toppings and extra premium meets such as oxtails and even a while beef rib thats really flavorful and falls off the bone easily! Be aware that due to the quality of all these meats, most of these dishes at least start at $20 and can increase from there. Adding stuff like the oxtails like i mentioned is an extra $9, but the quality definitely reflects that!

Haven't had much Pho but went with some friends here today. Overall I'll say I liked it a lot more then the couple other places I've been locally. Good amount of meat with a solid soup. Pricing wise I think their about what you'd expect in this area so would recommend.

My brother noticed the Hanoi-style broth (less cinnamon and star anise essence). The broth came out nice and hot. Even the bean sprouts were heated so it does not take away the heat. Flavor was simple and we can add basil or any spicy extras. It was a great comfort food for a cold day. I liked being able to order short rib and Chinese breadsticks for additional texture variety. Went a second time recently and there was a drastic reduction in the amount of beef put in the pho orders. We had plenty of noodles and broth but scraps of meat. We brought some home to my parents and were disappointed by the amount. Music was a bit loud to converse.
