Pho Dimond is tucked into a shopping plaza and has earned a regular spot in my Anchorage pho rotation (especially as a good pre or post Costco Shopping stop). The broth is the main reason to return. It’s clean, nourishing, and always served properly hot. While it may not be the best pho broth in town, it’s dependable and satisfying. The usual pho accompaniments can be hit or miss depending on the day. Sometimes you’ll get the full setup with bean sprouts, cilantro, Thai basil, rough-cut jalapeños, and lime, and other times it’s a more limited spread. I’ve worked my way through several pho variations here, and consistency is the strength. The broth stays steady, and they never skimp on either the proteins or the noodles, which goes a long way in making each bowl feel like solid value. On
My rating on service is because, Id never been there and I needed more time to read over the menue so I sat around for a long time waiting to get my order taken but not the worst. Couldn't decide between, pho, curry or sandwhich. Knocked it off the table quick but I almost said Mongolian beef bc that's always a good review worthy item to compare if it's on the menue. I bet it's bomb there tbh.. The curry smelled amazing but I wanted a really expensive bowl of curry and I was like let's just wait. But I immidetly picked the crab cheese wonton. There was no crab? Idk if was good but for 12$.. I love the chives / scallions inside. They were great. They were crispy. They didn't really have anything special to them in flavor. I liked they weren't to sweet but yeah nothing really here as far as
the service from the people here was awful. Not welcoming or pleasant. Didn’t get water until we got our food served. The bamboo duck noodle pho soup was bland, and the quality of the soup was not as much as it was worth( 22.99 for 4 pieces of meat and a little bit of noodles…..) the lady cleaning the tables was yelling across the restaurant, slamming the dishes and the server didn’t come by to check or ask about food and no refill for water? such a disappointment for an establishment with food and service barely up to par. GO to phonatik or Siam for better food and services.
I was really disappointed with my experience here. I placed a pickup order, but it took much longer than expected, and the interaction during pickup felt rushed and unfriendly. Unfortunately, the pho itself didn’t make up for it—the broth was quite bland, and my order was missing some of the standard toppings. For $18.99 for a single serving, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price if the food and service matched it, but this fell short.
We sat for 30 minutes before anyone talked to us and in that time span another, bigger table had their order taken before us even though they had gotten here 12 minutes after we did. When it was approaching the 40 minutes of waiting we politely told the staff we were ready to order to which we were told “Yeah okay hang on one second!” in a very rude manor. It is understandable when restaurants are busy that staff will not be able to attend to you right away but to be completely blown off for almost an hour is wild, especially considering larger parties who sat down after us were taken care of almost immediately.
