Food is alright. For what it is, I think some other places on this strip are better. Honestly, it’s very pricey after tax and tip. The restaurant has a very cozy feel to it though, which I’m sure a lot would find appealing.
Pho Tao Bo Vien was fantastic. Great broth, large serving size. Friendly and fast service. Will definitely return!
I’ve been here a few times and it pains me to make this review, the pho is so tasty. The service is the confusing mix of curt and warm that always precedes delicious food. But this last visit I saw something I cannot unsee. The world must know. I have lived in a developing nation. I am a traveler, and not a picky one. I have bounced around less than stellar hostels in Latin America, fielded the hole-in-the-ground toilets of less developed countries. Many crusty dive bar bathrooms have seen my relieved face on a late night. When I entered the bathroom of this establishment, I almost regurgitated my delicious pho (with the works, I love tripe). Before even entering, the door handle was brown around the edges. “Okay,” I tell myself, “they haven’t wiped down the paint in a while. No big deal
After my workout class, I decided to stop by Pho 888 for the first time. It’s a bit smaller than some other places nearby, but I was really impressed with the appetizers we ordered. The barbecue pork sandwich was amazing! However, the rice noodle soup was a bit disappointing for me. The noodles were a bit too soft and mushy, which affected the texture, and the broth didn’t have much flavor. I’d definitely return for the appetizers, but for soup
Pho 888 offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is simple, with granite-topped tables and decor that adds a touch of Vietnamese culture. This no-frills restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting vibe, perfect for a casual meal. The pho is the star of the menu, with a rich and flavorful broth that’s clear yet packed with depth. Generous portions of tender beef slices complement the aromatic broth, garnished with fresh green onions and cilantro, enhancing each sip and bite. The noodles are cooked to perfection, with a firm yet tender texture that pairs well with the broth. If you’re a pho enthusiast, this spot is a must-try for the depth of flavor they manage to infuse into each bowl. The shrimp spring rolls are fresh and tigh
