Customer Reviews
My waitress was very nice.. I loved the soup I ordered it was very spicy. I ordered a drink and they did not have the ingredients needed to make to make it. The waitress was very apologetic and asked me if I wanted something else.
We’ve been dining at Pho 88 for over 20 years, ever since we moved from North Carolina to the Nashua area, and it’s still one of our favorite spots. This restaurant has been a reliable go-to for us—whether we’re entertaining friends visiting from out of town or simply don’t feel like cooking and want to grab a comforting bowl of noodles. Our favorites are #14 and #16 on the menu. The noodles are always cooked just right—not too soft, not too firm—and the broth has a balanced, rich flavor without being heavy. The Thai basil and bean sprouts are always served fresh, which makes all the difference in the experience. Pho 88 isn’t a fancy restaurant, but that’s part of its charm. It’s a welcoming, consistent place you’ll find yourself wanting to come back to again and again.
So I was verbally told by the server that they will not serve me anymore because I don’t tip. Last time I checked, tipping is earned and not an entitlement, I come and pay for my meal like any other person that comes into this place like anyone else , if you are doing the bare minimum then don’t expect a tip. Once again, the server verbally told me that the servers will not serve me cause I do not tip. Not for being rowdy or rude but simply because I do not tip for someone who is literally just doing the bare minimum. I love the food here and been coming here for years now but I am sad to know that I will not be returning anymore. Such a disappointment. I have just spoken to the manager Lock of the restaurant to ask if it is a standard in their restaurants to deny service to a paying cus
For a quick weeknight dinner, I stopped by Pho 88. Since it was 4:30pm, the establishment only had a few patrons. Parking was ample and I received a table immediately. I ordered the #14 Xe Lua Pho / extra large beef noodle soup ($17.95). Within 5 minutes, I received my order and the customer plate of bean sprouts, basil, and lime. The portion size lived up to its name, with both increased amounts of rice noodle and beef (rare steak slices, well-done brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe). Disappointingly, the soup did not arrive super hot. As a standalone bowl of noodle soup this wouldn't be an issue, but the bean sprouts sap away additional heat. Also, the broth seemed lacking in aromatics and tasted only like simple beef stock.
I didn't get the Pho but I got Pork with rice and it was delicious. The pork was cooked perfectly and flavor was really good. I will visit again for Pho.
