Philly Pretzel Factory

Been familiar with the chain for years now. Popped in this location this past Saturday, 2/21/26 on the way over to my parents' house nearby for dinner. Ordered five standard soft pretzels to go as my mom had asked me to stop by and pick them up. In and out in about 5 or 6 minutes. Five pretzels for five bucks on the dot - not a bargain, but not bad either. Place seemed cleaned and the staff, all people under 21 or maybe 24 at best, seemed okay - but not overly friendly and the location was kinda dark and not inviting. Overall, probably not their best location by far, but considering the close proximity of the drug den neighborhood of Kensington and the pool of younger workers they have access to, I guess it's what you should expect. This is the best Philly pretzel factory in the city hands down. I go out of my way to go to this location only. Super consistent, excellent bake every time, nice employees. Honestly corporate needs to have all the franchise locations stage here.

They don't use gloves to make the pretzels. Service was okay and 3 workers standing around and it took someone that was making the food to come over and ring us up. That's ridiculous, and they were touching the pretzels. The pizza pretzels with no gloves. That's gross. But when I was looking, they grab gloves to grab my pretzels, I don't think i'm coming back here

What kind of pretzel factory RUNS OUT OF PRETZELS an hour and half before closing!? JUST PURE LAZINESS. More than once or twice. This place used to be on point, but anymore they’re SLACKIN, big time. Some of the counter help can be trashy. If Steve is still the owner, I know he must not be there, because he would NEVER let that place run like that. *Normally it’s clean and well kept. When food is available, most of the time is good. Sometimes sat under the heater too long or pretzels cold. Mainly need better employees.

Friendly staff. For an extra .15¢ each, can get the pretzels individually wrapped. Great for bringing into the office.
