Philly Pretzel Factory - Clementon, NJ

I won’t be giving this location my business anymore. The staff was rude and unhelpful. When I asked for a small container of salt on the side (something I’ve gotten here and at other Pretzel Factory locations plenty of times), the worker flat out refused and insisted they “don’t give out salt.” That is simply not true based on my past experiences. The young guy with a durag made the whole experience horrible he acted like I was asking him for money instead of a simple side of salt. Poor customer service like this is exactly how you lose loyal customers, and they’ve lost me.

Ordered a pretzel rivet tray for New Year's Eve. Nothing like serving up your guests food poisoning. The nacho cheese smelled strongly off just taking the lid off..Can't say I've smelled many things like that. Sure enough visibly on top was multiple mold spots. These trays aren't cheap, to say I'm disappointed isn't even enough here.

I want to thank Chris for a wonderful visit today at this location. I needed a bite to eat and some leftovers for later, placed an order with him for a fresh order of pretzel sausage dogs and cheesesteak bites with some cheese sauce, he told me that it would take a few minutes to make and he'd keep the cheese sauce warm for me. Watching him in the kitchen area, he runs the store with perfect timing, sanitary operations, and cleans up after himself as part of his routine. He's extremely courteous, friendly, and professional despite being busy keeping operations constantly moving. Instead of waiting at the counter for me to pick up my order from him, he brought it out to me personally while I was waiting at the bartop. I appreciate the extra effort and his kindness. I would go here faithfully every week for years. The new owners seemed to have changed the salt they use. It’s now finer salt that seems to make the pretzels super salty. If it was an attempt to save money just know you lost a customer.

Recently got some pretzels from here and the past few times I’ve been at this specific location something has been weird with the bottoms of the pretzels that burns to taste. The most recent time myself and others who got the pretzels developed swelling and blisters on our tongues due to whatever was on the bottom of the pretzels. It seems to be a reoccurring issue and I hope they can fix it so no one else has a similar reaction.
