Friendly employees and plenty of seating. I appreciated they provided pepper relish (which tasted good) at the condiment station, along with pickled peppers. There was a pretty long line, but it moved quickly. I was disappointed with the steak sandwich. I got a plain steak with onions. The steak tasted pretty bland, with barely any salt. It was also somewhat dry. The onions were just some chunky pieces at bottom of the roll, barely adding any flavor. They did use a traditional steak sandwich roll (Amoroso, or something very similar). However, I could have made a better steak sandwich at home...and usually they always taste better when you get them out. The onion rings looked good. The fries looked like plain crinkle-cut ones and not very appealing. This isn't a bad lunch stop, and I hop
I went to this place in the recommendation of a fellow foodie, to try their cheese steak sub. First, the parking was very difficult. The place inside feels cozy, the lighting is warm. The service is with an enthusiastic smile. I ordered the regular cheese steak sub with American cheese and mayo. The food was good. Seasoned ok with a little spicy kick. The sub was alright. I did not think it special. I thought it short on the cheese. The sub was well put together and wasn't a mess upon unwrapping. They do full the bread with meat which is a plus. More salt on the meat would have been nice. I'd go back.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Looking to eat a genuine philly? Look no further! This is your spot right here! The bread was soft, meat was tender just enough cheese whiz so it doesn't over power the other flavors! Hot and fresh! The onion rings where crispy and delicious as well. I tried the cherry pepper for the first time and it was good and went well with the philly. The pepper is slightly spicy but sweet at the same time. The spice level would be a 1 maybe a 2 put of 10. I got there about 40 minutes before they closed so it was empty besides one other person but left shortly after. It was quite and peaceful but I can imagine the rush during lunch. It is in an old building so it has that wonderful look and feel. Check this place out!
This place used to be the best in Harrisburg. The meat was precooked sitting in a metal container. Warmed up when a sandwich is ordered. Meat was not seasoned. It was tasteless. Fries were precooked and cold. Only the cherry coke worked in the soda machine. I gave my food to a homeless person. It was horrible
Awesome place. Great location. Great and efficient service. The steaks are excellent as well as the sides.
