Pete's Place

Im really disheartened by this latest experience, I've grown up going to Pete's place and the steak being incomparable, excellent, and worth coming back for. However this time, it was so bad I definitely won't be back. Our bill didn't match the prices listed on the menu, I understand prices change and vary but when they do, keeping your customers informed is probably the best policy for this exact reason. Next, the steaks were wildly disappointing as 3 out of 4 steaks were cooked wrong. Two were supposed to be a medium well and one a medium, however all three steaks came out red all through the steak. Basically a medium rare. The only steak that was cooked right, was the steak made well done. A ribeye that was supposed to cost 22 costed 25. And a charge of 6 dollars was added at the end of

Pete’s was recommended to us by an All-Star Local fella! Said it was the best streak you can buy. Well…he was correct, it was a magnificent ribeye. Cooked and seasoned to perfection! The sides were all pretty normal but I thought the fried okra was super good with a side of hot sauce! It’s sort of a different setup of a place as the bar area and restaurant area are through different doors connected by a short hallway. We figured that was so the good folks can eat without having to look at us nefarious types…😳😁😳. No really the bar side has a jukebox also as well as a regular dining room. Kasey waited on us and she was ON THE BALL! One word of warning….this IS a cash only establishment and they DO NOT have an ATM. You have to go across the four lane road to a tad bit of a sketch gas

I was with friends. I was very pleased to see that now that I am OLD I can order from the kids' menu (12 and under or 60 and over) and I had the kids' ribeye and baked potato and they were delicious! The potato had such great potato flavor. I can't explain it, but it was nice and potatoey. :-) I live in Maryville, but I will be making the trek back out there to have another kids' ribeye and tater. Tater, as in Tater Valley, which is where my daddy was from.

Mon Mar 24, 2025 Second time coming here (last time was 3 years ago). I had the chicken, onion rings and mac n' cheese. The husband had the Grouper sandwich with fries and an unsweet tea. The food was delicious. Sweet tea was good. Will be coming back! –––––––– 3 years ago: Overall it was good. Service was slower than normal because they were understaffed. But the waitress Liz was nice and had a smile. I had the grilled chicken with fries and a loaded salad. A house salad compared to a loaded house salad is that a house salad only has lettuce and tomatoes and a loaded salad has lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, cheese and croutons. But the size was nothing to write home about.

We love going to Pete's and one of the best parts is asking what the desserts are! We had a monster cake and I do not think I have had something so tasty like that before. Make sure to ask about the desserts so you can try it!
