This place is a hidden gem. In the middle of a bitter winter storm — when it seemed like everything was closed — we stepped inside and found phenomenal Peruvian chicken at a great price. The combo and family meal options are an outstanding value, and the flavors were unbelievably good. The fries were beer-battered and fried to perfection, and the plantains were the best I’ve ever had. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about this place! Charcoal Rotisserie Chicken truly is the best Peruvian restaurant in town. Their catering service went above and beyond for my event, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They went out of their way to make my military event truly memorable. The food was outstanding—perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken, amazing fried rice, and generous portions that left everyone more than satisfied. Not only was everything delicious, but the professionalism and effort they put into the catering made all the difference. If you’re looking for authentic flavor, excellent service, and a team that truly cares, I highly recommend this restaurant for catering or just a great meal. You won’t regret it!
Got a rice plate ....chicken and steak with fried rice and black beans. Meats seasoned very well and the fried rice has a good flavor. Also purchased sides of green beans, cheesely potatoes and plantains. Nice place for lunch or dinner would come back again when in area.
We got take out for lunch. The charcoal Chicken was moist and flavorful. The aji verde spicy sauce was on point. Fried rice was tasty. Yucca was great with the Amarillo sauce. Portions were filling. The 1/4 chicken and 2 sides was $10. Can’t beat that. Update: I tried the Jamaican jerk wings and they were okay. They do have 21 flavors so next time I’ll be trying a different flavor. The yucca was crispy. 11$ for a 5 wing combo.
I order the lomo saltado from here at least twice a month. After living in Peru for several years, I can easily make it myself, but it’s much easier to order it here and swing by Food Lion while they cook it. It usually takes about 20 minutes. The lomo saltado is consistently delicious. Good quality sirloin, authentic flavor, and very close to what I ate in Lima. I personally like a little more juice in the sauce since the rice and fries absorb a lot of it, but the dish is still excellent. I did try the ceviche earlier this year and wouldn’t get it again unless they’ve updated the recipe. It leaned heavily on black pepper instead of ají amarillo, and it didn’t have the balance that Peruvian ceviche typically has. Overall, highly recommend the lomo saltado.
