Persis Biryani Indian Grill North Charlotte

On Dec 14th, I ordered an appetizer. For its price, it was really small! The plastic container that it came in was no bigger than the palm of your hand, cupped and an inch high. Major rip off, to begin with. When I went in to get the bag, that night, it was very light; I thought nothing of it! Once I got home, I called. She said I'm sorry...you can come back and get any dish you want off the menu. I was also required to bring the food back. I brought it back the next morning, before work. She wrote down my name for the future, when I wanted a "different" dish. I complained that the food that I ordered looked nothing like the picture, in fact, it was nothing like the picture at all! The food is authentic. So, there's that! You'll get a flavorful explosion that will tantalize your taste buds. Now, if you came for ambiance or chić decor then you came for Insta pictures and pomp! Cause It's a no-frills mom and pop shop. You're going to seat yourself; however, they do provide bottled water. I wanted something spicy and smoky to take the edge off. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Roti, with a side of Samosas. I wasn't impressed with the doughiness of the Samosa casing, but that could have been due to the Styrofoam trapping condensation. However, the Chicken was flavorful and indulgent. It was rich an s creamy with a robust tomato accent. They serve a daily lunch buffet. Its open so you can mix and match protein and sauce flavors.

We went to explore their breakfast buffet in the morning and it was quite good. They offered medu vada, dosa, puri, pongal and variety of chutneys and non veg curries. The very next day we went for lunch buffet and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. They offered decent number of veg and non veg items but few of them lacked the freshness and they were cold to my surprise.

We went to the weekend lunch buffet and it was the worst dining experience. None of the dishes were edible – we tried the goat and chicken biryani, and both were terrible. Honestly, the entire buffet was disappointing, with the only exception being one dessert that was decent. Overall, I would give this buffet a 0/5 rating. But price is overrated

My experience at Persia Biryani Grill was profoundly disappointing and a complete waste of money. I feel compelled to warn any fellow diners, especially those seeking decent vegetarian fare, to steer clear. The first major issue is the laughably limited menu for vegetarians. The options presented were minimal, and the "starters" consisted only of basic, uninspired items like Cut Mirchi and Onion Pakoda. At this price point, I expect creativity and variety, not the absolute bare minimum that any roadside stall offers. It felt like an afterthought, bordering on insulting. However, the real failure was the main course quality. The food was served disappointingly cold—tepid at best—which immediately ruins the dining experience.
