Perfect Together Restaurant and Cafe

I would trek mounds and mounds of Philly snow to eat here every week, the food here hits SO good on a cold day. It would be a civic disservice to not share, so here is my review. Everything we ate was deeply delicious, like eating a warm hearth, lots of depth and spice (not the kind that is spicy), and the whole vibe was very authentically neighborhood Uzbek. I ordered Mastava, a light veggie soup with a little bit of rice and meat—I love the dill. The dumplings were fire. My friend got the Tuy Kabob, very hearty and filling, comes with bread. We both remarked that our dads would have really enjoyed that one. Worth coming back for again and again!

I stumbled on this restaurant for an impromptu dinner and had one of the loveliest and most satisfying meals I’ve had in a long time. It’s the perfect place for a hearty, warming dinner on a cold night. Everything was perfectly seasoned, tender, and perfectly cooked. The food came quickly, which was impressive considering at one point there were only 1-2 people working the kitchen, handling takeout orders and waiting on tables. I don’t know much about Uzbek cuisine, but the server was friendly and helpful in describing dishes, and all her suggestions were amazing. My partner and I had the kompot, tarkhun, manti, bhukaran plov, and a side of mixed veggies. As far as the drinks go, I preferred the sparkling tartness of the tarkhun to the sweetness of the kompot, but honestly everything was 1

I found this place on TikTok and so happy I gave it a try as I’ve never had Uzbek food before. I tried their Goulash, Oxtail, Samsa, Cheburek, & Dolma. I loved every dish. Perfect comfort food! The owners are so kind as well. Will definitely be back every time I’m visiting the city!

Wow! An incredible new addition to Philly's restaurant scene. Perfect Together serves fantastic Uzbek cuisine on South Street. We asked the owner for recommendations and everything he suggested was stunning. We started with the cheburek, a flaky pastry filled with seasoned meat. The dough was fried perfectly and the meat was rich but not too heavy, a great way to begin our meal. With it, we also had kompot, a lightly sweet-tart juice that had a light herbal quality - another stunner. For the entree, we had the manti (dumplings), noodle salad, and plov (a rice pilaf topped with a savory sauce of meat, chickpeas and carrots which also came with a small side salad.) All three were amazing. The manti were by far my favorite as the sour cream and dill were a fantastic complement to the filling.

Absolutely delicious! I was so happy to see an Uzbek restaurant open up near Center City. We got kompot, tea, non, beef samsa, pumpkin cheburek, manti, lamb and kufta kebab, pickles, and the suzma labneh. All of it was so good! Restaurant is BYOB with good proximity to beer and wine stores.
