Pepe's Restaurant & Lounge

Yesterday I decided to take my father out to dinner here, we've been a few times should be fairly simple right? Boy was I was wrong. We apparently showed up at the exact moment the entire town decided they, too, deserved pasta. This place wasn’t just busy. It was at capacity, fire-marshal-counting-heads busy. The kind of busy where you start wondering if you should’ve packed a snack and a paperback novel. I’m pretty sure I saw a bartender doing hip thrusts while mixing a drink while we waited. It was a a zoo. Everything took forever. I think my dad finished two full World War II anecdotes before the bread hit the table, and that man can tell a story in under five minutes when properly motivated. BUT. And this is important. The servers Brigette, Amy, and Kaisa were absolute troopers.

I been living in this area for 10 years. Never been to this place until today. Ver very disappointed. Pastrami sandwich, this is not for anyone on line this review is for the restaurant. The sandwich had no flavor, the pastrami was not seasoned, the onions and peppers wasn't sauteed all the way they were almost raw. Waist of money. The fries tasted better than the sandwich. Guys! You gotta work on that sandwich. If I ever eat that same sandwich again, it would be because I'm waisted..... That sandwich need a prayer 🙏

I would literally give my kidney to Frank, even if he didn’t need it. Both of em. That man is an amazing human being. I am so happy he’s always the bartender when me and my girls come in. NEVER without a smile, clean, pays attention to details and makes a killer libation. Love you, Franky.

I had a couple of hours of idle time yesterday (1:15pm) and decided to stop somewhere I’ve never been before and was pleasantly surprised with my stop at Pepe’s Restaurant & Lounge. Relaxed atmosphere with a true local touch. Plenty of room at the bar and the bartender/server (Tom) made me feel right at home. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder and can say it’s definitely one of the best tasting ones in a long time. Their award winning wings were delicious. Will need to come back and try some of the other menu items. So glad I made the stop.

I liked the set up of the restaurant, there is a bar area with plenty of seats, the bartender/waitress was very friendly and pleasant, and I had pasta giobotto (medallion chicken with sweet sausage in a red sauce) which was delicious. There is an outside patio that looked very nice. The price was reasonable ($18.00) and I had a nice glass of merlot ($5.00) which was perfect for my meal selection. Highly recommend this restaurant.
