ya know, this restaurant might just survive the antirestaurant atmosphere of jamestown/russell springs. its that good! reminds me of a high quality Panchos. u know, its hard to run a restaurant; i gotta tell ya, this evening, ive just experienced a TWELVE OUTTA TEN restaurant experience. i went in secretly testing,evaluating,assessing the experience here at pepes and it was authentically perfect. music=10, atmosphere=10, parking is decent, the restaurant not too big, not small; comfortable dining atmosphere, these are good people! my drink ran out; i timed it; she grabbed the cup in less than 30 seconds! also; they have the best cups! the food is delicious and authentic i have enclosed a picture of my number two on the menu *hint hint* to show you....also i know its close ta 5 but

Me and my husband are not locals here, we are actually staying near lake Cumberland, we tried Lakers Tap and Grill and it was excellent everything about it was perfect, the manager was telling us about their other restaurant up in town, the way she made it seemed was that it was amazing, however we decided to give it a try. The food was amazing however the service could have been better. It just seems like kids working not knowing much. You can tell they don’t have good management in place. Just wanted to write a review to let them know of an issue. We will be back and we trust they will improve.

But let me tell you what really sealed the deal: the to-go margaritas. Yes, TO-GO. These things are the real deal — strong, flavorful, and worth every sip. The food was freshly made ingredients and had a good balance of spices. 8 had the chicken fajitas and beef burrito supreme. Both were tasty and the portions were generous. Should've taken a pic but was so hungry I simply wolfed it down. Two things that I didn't care for... Charges included a takeout fee and an additional card fee for using a CC. This was disappointing considering current tight budgets we operate on but i would return for a solid meal here.

Your typical small town Mexican restaurant. The biggest thing you can expect is an oversized drink glass. We both got tea; a sweet and unsweet and they tasted good and fresh. Service can be hit or miss depending on where you sit. Chips had no flavor, but salsa was good. Beans were pretty bland, along with the guacamole. Fajita Jalisco was super tasty though! Maybe it was a hit and miss being closer to closing time. Would possibly try again in the future if in the area.
