Penn Station East Coast Subs

Penn Subs makes all sort of sub sandwiches, and one of the best cheesesteaks. You can even get a pizza sub. Their French fries are the real deal and cut fresh from whole potatoes in a large bin there. They are soooo good. They make their cheesesteaks with your choice of beef or chicken, along with onions, green or banana peppers, mushrooms, condiments e.g.: mayo, mustard, etc. Their bread, I think, is the best anywhere in the area, period. It's got a hearty consistency and it only enhances the sandwiches. Once you order and grab your drink, they'll bring out your basket with the food. Have eaten here several times. Food usually quite good, service so so. Today we attempted to eat there around 4:30 but had to leave. There was only one person there that we saw and he was mopping the floor. We went to the register to order and stood there about five minutes. He never said a word or even acknowledged us-just kept mopping-even though we were close to him so he had to have seen us. After being ignored for over five minutes, we left. Once again, he said nothing as we walked out. Just kept mopping.

If you don't want to work somewhere, quit. The staff was ok with the exception of one person. Bad attitudes really turn me away from places. It's a shame because the food really is good. We only have great experiences here. It might sound cliche, but one bad apple really does ruin the bunch.

This 5 Star review is coming from a low carb person and I loved my meal there today. The staff was friendly and very interactive to ask customers dining there tonight. I ordered the Ruben without the bread. Pictured was the medium size. It had a great portion of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss. It was hot and put into a nice to-go container with 1000 Island on the side. My daughter had the Dagwood with turkey, salami, and American cheese. We took the salami off so she could eat it rolled up and she ate the turkey sandwich. Great dining experience tonight and I loved my meal! I'll definitely be going back to get this again and try their other sandwich options low carb!

First visit to PSECS, was nice to try a different chain of subs restaurants, my server Magnolia did a good job explaining the menu and taking my order, prices a little higher than the competition but probably better subs. Not too busy by the early evening hours, facility was fairly clean, I would visit again.
