Customer Reviews
I had a taste for scallops. My finance and I decided to try Penn Seafood, located in Burlington, NJ. The customer service was great. However, I cannot say the same about our food. I ordered fried scallops, first time having them this way. They were ok, they tasted like they weren't seasoned at all. My finance had the fried Whiting with fries. He said it was ok, yet I thought it tasted like the fish was almost bad or bad, as itl eft a nasty after taste in my mouth. While there, I took pictures of another customer's platters, with their permission of course. That gentleman stated the food was good. I cannot vouch for that as we did not try it. We personally, will not be back. I am rating it a two. Note: They will cook the food you order on the spot, or you can take it home and cook it you
It's a rare find getting what you want raw or cooked. I have been coming to visit TK for years, I get steamed or fried most times both, then take some home raw to cook for the fam. He is so nice and always remembers me.
The food was great. The fried shrimp was prefect fryed, nices and crispy. The blue crabs was fresh and full of meat. I love the way they plate the food so neat. And the guy that was taking our order was very nice and friendly.
Staff was a tad bit rude BUT nothing to be upset about. Also we are Muslims and where Islamic store. I think they weren’t use to that. But CRABS were all we got. Asians own the place but Mexicans cook it. CRABS were decent but not as flavorful as I wanted altho fresh.
Save your money and go to Blue Claw. I had a Seafood platter. 1-farm raised flounder filet(nice size but again farmed raised), 2 farmed raised shrimp, 1 crab cake(decent not a lot of filler but the meat is very shredded with not one piece of lump) 1-1/2 scallops cut in 3 pieces. About 4 servings of plain white rice and a good serving of broccoli. No seasoning except for the old bay on the shrimp. We had 1 broiled & 1 fried platter since they don't let you interchange. The fried was worse. No seasoning, coleslaw is not edible, ok fries. $12.99 & 15.99 looks like alot of food but it's mostly rice. Again, save your money & go to Blue Claw. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it was an affordable meal that could get you full if you eat anything and that's what you are into. But if y
