Penelope Murphy's Bed and Breakfast

Absolutely loved our whole experience staying here! It was very homey. The host was friendly and warm. We felt welcomed. Such a peaceful setting.

We have been here 3 times in the last 2 months. This place is awesome. Penelope and Andrew are so sweet and generous. This place is like being at the mountain house you always wanted. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The common areas are cozy and available for game playing, just reading a book by the fire or having pizza for a late night snack. We stay here when we come to visit my brother and his family. We also love coming to go dirt biking and quad riding. This place is so peaceful I didn't want to leave. I was so relaxed and inspired, I made them a new logo. I just wanted to make them as happy as they were making me. I'm usually a beach girl, but looks like i'll be a mountain girl this summer. Honest review of the bed and breakfast. First off- they don't make breakfast anymore but the lady was transparent about that over the phone so that's not a big deal. They do offer cookies and coffee or tea to get from the kitchen in the morning too. The beds we had weren't bad. I found the side pillow a little uncomfortable as a side sleeper as it was too flat but using a towel helped resolve that for me. The location is pretty good as it's a short drive from Knoebels where I was going to the next morning. My biggest gripe with this bed and breakfast is that the owner is big into Trump and there's multiple signs of that scattered around. She even went on some short rant at night about voting Trump and suggesting America would be speaking Chinese if they don't, weird stuff. I didn't bot

Stayed here for one night last minute and late in the day!! I only wished we planned on staying here. Such an adorable place. We loved the warmth you felt as soon as you stepped out of your car. Very clean. Very impressed. The little details just made you feel special. The lady of the house is even more special. You'll feel blessed meeting her. She is super sweet,interesting and respectful. I hope we pass through the area again. I will make sure we spend more than a few hours there!

Penelope's offers a charming and warm stay away from home. The owners are kind and very accommodating! The rooms are clean and stocked with everything a modern hotel would have plus more. The made to order breakfast is outstanding and she serves it on our schedule which was a big deal for our family. She has a pack N play and high chair for our 1 year which was so useful. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back next time we're in the area. She does book up during high season so make your reservation asap.
