Pelican Seafood

I ordered my meal of fried oysters and scallops with coleslaw and hushpuppies. It’s was so good or I was hungry one. They were cooked perfectly. I have had scallops over dune and oysters over cooked . Let me tell you these melted in my mouth.

We purchase our fresh seafood for our family boils every time we come down to the beach. They are the best fresh seafood facility!! This memorial weekend was no different than any other visit but I do hate to see the for sale sign in the windows. If I had the money, I would love to help run or take over the work load from these wonderful hard working owners. Much love from the “good girl” that came by yesterday before closing time and purchased 6lbs shrimp and 6lbs of crab legs!!

Pelican Seafood market/restaurant was very clean and sanitary but of course, like any seafood market, it will smell like seafood! Oh there, a seafood look very fresh and tasted very fresh! I actually ordered my seafood (scallops and shrimp platter) to be cooked by them and noticed that most people were getting fresh seafood to take home to cook themselves. After getting my seafood, I said in the car and ate it and it was pretty greasy definitely too greasy for my taste. Their prices are reasonable for fresh seafood, but I would recommend buying and taking cooking yourself. Their customer service was very polite and professional. For fresh, North Carolina seafood, their prices are very reasonable!

I had the shrimp plate with slaw and fries and my boyfriend got the shrimp and scallion plate with slaw and hush puppies. This was my second time eating here in a week, 10/10 recommend. Some of the best shrimp I have had. I am not usually a fan of scallions but the ones from here are actually super good even I liked them!

My husband wanted some sea food and this place turned out to be very very good. We ordered Mahi bites, soft shell crab and shrimp. As sides we chose potato salad and hush puppies. Everything was delicious and fresh. The food was done quickly too. They change their menu every day. Good service. We will definitely return when we come back to OKI.
