Absolutely delicious food. Some of the best soul food I've had in years. Cash only, and worth every penny. Loved it.

I absolutely love soul food. But this was not it at all. No flavor at all in anything. The macaroni was horrible, yams were definitely out of a can and the greens were absolutely disgusting 🤮 He warmed all my food up in the microwave smh it was all very unprofessional. I do NOT recommend. I’m sorry. Definitely gotta do way better. This is not home cooked food.

I’m trying to be so gentle with this review because this is a Black owned restaurant but 🥲 the seasoning on the catfish - superb! however the execution of frying it left much to be desired. the fish didn’t flake, it was mushy and for the GIANT portion you served me I maybe got 4 real bites. the hush puppies were hard and grainy, again they were HUGE but the execution of frying them was not up to par. the dressing was inedible, the beans look suspicious and the mac and cheese….was what broke me. upon first glance I thought there were pieces charred cheese in the baked mac. I assumed that because I could not fathom what else besides PERHAPS a black peppercorn could this be?! Folks. So I’m not from here so this is a honest review.. Honestly.. the fried food was good, and you can’t mess up no fried food. So that was cool.. now to these sides… CHILD, if you knew them yams wasn’t done, and the macaroni was half done.. like i don’t understand why you would take my money? I knew something was wrong how quiet he was making my food.. looks were deceiving to say the least lol. Food was horrible and i didn’t finish it to say the least, i ended up at IHOP Cus i was truly still hungry.

This is a hole-in-the-wall. My girl and I are as white as can be...we are from the north of the Mitten. The cook looked like a convict (I would know, was one for many years). He was super clean, food was over the top. My creamy lil blonde gal and I danced as we waited for our food, as we were dressed to the nines for the ballet. Nonetheless, service was a ten, food was a twelve. Prices may be too competitive for the area, but they would make huge bank where we are from. Blessings and Merry Christmas to you all....
