Peak City Diner

Great Food, Great service, so glad to have this diner in Apex! From the folks who brought you Cary's Shiny Diner, this is a great addition to Apex eating options. We've been going here since they opened a couple years ago and have always a great dining experience, the food is as good or better than any diner. The menu is the same as Shiny Diner, breakfast served all day and they honor veterans with a discount, I really appreciate that. Everything I've had here is great but I recommend the "Grandpa Marvin's Hamburger Steak" dinner, it's a huge hand-pattied portion of meat with gravy and onions & 2 sides plus bread. If you're in the mood for breakfast any time of day, you can't go wrong with Peak City Diner!

First time here with my husband and almost 2 year old over the weekend. The place was busy, but not overly crowded for a Saturday. We were greeted with a smile and seated pretty quickly. A young girl took our drink order and they were brought to us fast. Our waitress was friendly and very nice to my son, which always makes the experience better as well. The food was the problem…the real reason we’re here, right?! My husband ordered eggs over easy, bacon and hash browns. The eggs were good, the bacon was terribly over cooked and the hash browns felt like they sat there a while. My son had the child’s French toast sticks, bacon and eggs. Went in ate with my husband the other day. It was not good at all everything was microwaved, except for my eggs. His biscuit, and gravy was cold.. save yourself some money. Wait staff was nice.

First, let me say our server Jacqui was really sweet very patient and very nice.BUT- There is no other way to describe the food, other than awful. I ordered the roasted turkey breast with stuffing and two vegetables. The roasted turkey breast was shredded and so dry that I could not even chew it nor swallow it. The stuffing was a rectangle that looked like it had been cut from a loaf and tasted like powdered chicken soup mix, and the gravy (which I have even asked to make sure it was turkey gravy and was told it was homemade light, brown turkey gravy) tasted like canned brown gravy and appeared dark brown just like it came right out of a can . I did not eat my food other than some vegetables. I did not even take it home with me. The other guest at the table ordered the French toast, whi
