Being a native Chicagoan, I am used to flavorful fresh food. My son knows I like Puerto Rican food and recommended I stop here. I had Mofongo with Shrimp and Arroz Con Gandules. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and the servings were plentiful. The accompanying salad was also fresh and tasty. If you crave authentic PR food, this is your spot. They set up inside of the gas stations parking lot, and offer covered seating. The friendly service was an added bonus!!!
This is the most authentic puertorican flavors I’ve found so far. I ordered a plate with Arroz con gandules, pastel, and fried pork… and everything tasted and looked just like you would find in a good mountain area restaurant in Puerto Rico. They have a nice variety to be a food truck, and the prices are fair, specially for the portions. I did had to wait some time for the order, but the food was worth it. I like the drink options as well, you can get a few good imported puertorican items for drink. Friendly people over there!
Great flavor, great friendly people at the most affordable price. Don’t be fooled because its a food trailer, this people can cook. We came to the area on vacation and we have come twice in a row. Omg we just want to take some to go too. Thanks guys. God bless your business and family
We ordered the la picadura and the mofongo mar y tierra over the phone to avoid the wait, and it worked out perfectly. The picadera included an sorrullitos, fried pork or chicken cracklings, alcapurrias, empanadillas, and tostones. The fried pork and chicken empanadilla were my favorites. The alcapurria wasn’t quite as good as last time and the mofongo was not my favorite, but still enjoyable. The portions were very generous—we ended up with plenty of leftovers.
I was there with my family a few days ago. We came from the airport looking for some place to eat something quickly because we had two more hours on the road to Naples where we live. the food was wonderful and delicious Everything was clean good portions and the people were very kind, for sure we'll be there as soon as possible again
