Downhill since former staff was there. Some staff are friendly but it seems like there isn't as much activity or morale. Looks like a lot of staff and friends comment on the fb page or show up to events to make things look bigger than they really are. What a joke. I wont support until we replace the board/directer. Gary Byker library and KDL are so much better

The librarian is amazing and inspiring. coming from tik tok to see someone so strongly stand up for themselves against a large amount of people, and speak her truth and call them out, absolutely amazing. the world would be a better place with more people like her! We must do better for her!!

Pretty fitting that your town is called Jamestown as that was also the name of a town that was founded by a bunch of white colonizers! You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Sending so much love to the librarian. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s obviously working because these numb nuts are getting mad about your acceptance of all people.

As an LGBTQ person, I want to say I stand with this library. Kids who grow up in west Michigan and realize that they are Queer can struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts (speaking from personal experience). I wish I had books as a teenager to let me know there were other people like me and that I was going to be ok. Without reading any LGBTQ books I still ended up Queer. Books don't make kids gay, they let gay kids know they can survive and thrive in this world. Thank you to these librarians and their board of directors that have kept these books on the shelves. While the library might close, at least the queer kids and teens in your community felt like someone had their back.
