Pataskala Public Library

A very nice library for a small town. I didn't realize this library was part of the CLC. So you won't need a library card for this specific branch. They have a copier and computers. They have several rooms that you can reserve. The staff was very helpful and polite.

The good: The new building is fantastic, the amount of available enrichment for the youth is amazing. The facility is new and clean. The bad: Abby was overly confrontational about a reservation in the common room. She instructed us that we needed the id of the person that made the reservation, we offered to go get it because it was forgotten but she let us in while lecturing about the ID policy. She left, and then proceeded to come back and lecture us again about the ID policy. I tried to deescalate the situation and assure her we understood the policy and was cut off for the sake of her finishing her self righteous lecture. Our group was extremely put off by this employee.

Nice and generous amenities. I used to think that they were a fairly conservative library. However, I have been really disappointed lately with the woke books they are stocking in the children's section that I do not think are appropriate for children. So just be aware when your children are selecting books at this library (and all libraries).

PUBLIC libraries serve everyone. Parents/guardians of juvenile borrowers are responsible for what they are given access to. Freedom of speech includes print materials. My opinion only.

A wonderful library filled great books & super nice staff! I’m constantly amazed at the number of times I’ve been searching for a particular book & it’s right there on their shelves! Beautiful new building with everything you could possibly want in a small community setting.
