Paraiso - Mexican Restaurant Taqueria & Mezcaleria

I realized I never carried my original review over here from Yelp. Better late than never, right? I’ve been back since my initial visit, and I’m still very pleased with the service and everything they offer. It’s been great to see this place continue to thrive. Original Review from 2020 Okay, so first of all, am I the only lush who went straight for the premixed cocktails instead of the empanadas? Only me? Alright, thought so lol. Upon entering, I was welcomed by Victor. This fantastic human behind the bar greeted me warmly and helped me navigate the shop. Excellent food, great atmosphere! We tried a bunch of different things as a table and we had a great time for a friend’s birthday. I can highly recommend the short rib w/ mole verde, yucca fries, plantains, and tres leches cake! The sangria is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had - bar none! Getting a pitcher for the crew is a total move 😋All the food had a full flavor profile that was really noticeable - you can tell it’s top quality.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Nice location. We had totopos, tacos (chicken, beef, and fish), and burrito. Everything was great (probably the best burrito ever). Although totopos were kind of pricey for what you get, the three salsas were awesome. Highly recommended

We went to eat brunch at paraiso on a Sunday morning and everything about it was superb. Food was delicious and so thoughtful, the plato fuertes down to the salsitas. Ambiance was also thoughtful with the abundance of cempasuchiles decorating the walls and tables. Restaurant was clean, comfortable,and staff were nice. Would recommend for brunch

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but what happened at Paraiso – Mexican Restaurant Taqueria & Mezcaleria was unacceptable and needs to be shared. I’ve been a loyal customer for years—dining in more than ten times and ordering through DoorDash countless times. My friends and family have supported this restaurant regularly, which makes this experience even more disappointing. During my most recent visit, I took my leftover tacos home. When I went to finish them, I bit into a metal bolt hidden inside one of the tacos. The impact cracked the side of my tooth, causing immediate pain and leaving me with a significant dental injury. I now have a substantial dental bill as a direct result of this, which is incredibly frustrating and stressful especially considering it came from something a
