Pappy 2’s Barbeque

Food is good but don’t waste your time, gas, or energy going there because you will be disappointed. They never have anything done or are not at the site due to them catering. Waited a couple of weeks for smoked wings got burnt wings that were hard, cold, black, and inedible. Called the owner she issued a refund and offered to replace my food. I’ve been up there 4 times this week 2 times today because she told me come get ribs got there and there was none. Then she said chicken will be done at 5. I called three times no answer. Get there at 5:50 pm and now they are out of chicken. each time they don’t have smoked wings, they are out of ribs.I’m over it. It’s good but not worth the headache and I waited 4 plus hours to still walk away empty handed. Save your sanity. Go somewhere else.

Pappy's confirmed with our apartment community on October 13th to come out from 5pm to 8pm on the 20th of October for our monthly Food Truck Friday event. I was told they would be here at 4:30PM to set up. At 4:38PM they had not arrived so I sent a message looking for an update- no response. I called and left a voicemail, and again, no response. Myself and the residents were completely ignored. Updating the review: Apparently the rear end of their truck was hit by a garbage truck and that was why they were unable to make it. I was told they sent a message at 2PM today but that message never made it to me.

On that side of town so stopped by. My daughter and I tried several items all were good. My favorite were the ribs and the potato salad which had a unique smoky type flavor while still capturing the great taste of a good southern potato salad. Everything was fresh tasting and will definitely be back. I don’t love on that side but it’s definitely worth the drive

Papi 2's is by far the best BBQ on the East Side of Atlanta.....You can smell the signature hickory wood smoking from a mile away leading you to the long line of curious customers anxious to taste their food. I ordered a rib plate and to my surprise, the meat fell right off the bone. The char grilled juicy slab melted in my mouth and left me amazed. The Mac n' Cheese was buttery and cheesy and the baked beans sweet and savory. I love supporting black businesses and I will definitely be back for more.
