Papa Noodle

Stopped by Papa Noodles in SoMa with some friends and tried Papa’s Favorite, Braised Beef Noodles, and the Americano Beef Noodles. The Americano was my favorite, the beef had crispy edges but was still super tender, absolutely delicious. The Braised Beef Noodles were a close second, and I really liked the mix of pickled veggies with the noodles. Papa’s Favorite was good too, just felt like a more standard Dandan noodle dish. They also have a small candy area with free gum and White Rabbit candy, which is a fun little bonus. Overall, great spot for tasty beef noodle dishes and solid portions.

Very quick service and solid food. Simple dishes, but made well. The interior is so fun as well. Great spot for a quick meal by yourself or with a friend or two!

I love Papa Noodle! The service was incredible, I felt welcomed the moment I walked to the door. The menu was simple which made ordering a breeze. The enamel pins are super cute! Our food came out almost immediately. We had the Classic Papa Noodles with pork. I loved how thinly sliced everything was, it made it so you got the perfect portion of ingredients in each bite. The flavors were incredible, and the condiments at the table were very convenient. I really liked the vinegar. The candy after the meal was a nice touch. I’ll have to come back next time I’m in the area!

Papa Noodles catered lunch for a 45-person student event TAAF hosted. From the start, Jay, the owner of Papa Noodles, was the perfect partner and invested in making sure that the catering exceeded expectations. Jay invited us to come sample food, offered off menu items, provided delivery and set-up for free, and offered a bunch of "extras" including extra food, candy, mints, floss, etc. that made this entire process seamless. In short, not only was the food amazing but the service was everything an organization hopes for in a caterer. I'd highly recommend catering from Papa Noodles for any upcoming organization events.

Very small menu (4 main noodle dishes + 2 sides) and the lack of selection/having to choose from some ridiculously large menu was honestly refreshing. Fried tofu had great texture and was flavorful. The vegan noodle dish was good but not amazing. I liked the chewiness of the noodles but the dish had minimal protein and overall flavor was just slightly off. Staff was super helpful and proactively anticipated needs. Loved the atmosphere of the place with window bar seating, Chinese checkers, self serve lemon water, plants, etc.
