I love mom & pop diners and this one is no exception! Faith is a dynamic waitress and she'll ask you for your name so it feels like a more personal dining experience. Great daily specials kept me coming back every day I was in town.

It was the first time I’ve been to Madison, WI; we were grateful to find a pleasant place to have lunch. I was craving a salad and enjoy their Taco Salad. It came beautifully service in a shaped bowl and was of good size. Its salad ingredients were fresh and the seasoned hamburger in it was tasty. I had it with a bowl of Chili which was served nice and hot. That was welcoming as we came in out of the cold. The lady who served us was interesting to talk to and gave good recommendations. She recommended Sun Drop, which neither of us had ever heard of before. I’m not a big soda consumer but it was just the right thing for the moment and delightful to try. Pantry Cafe was recommended as having the best beef commercial, and it did not disappoint! Also had egg salad and it was tasty and filling. All around very solid classic diner, bustling with locals having lunch. The waitress was fantastic and super friendly and welcoming to us out-of-towners. Also they have Sundrop soda!

This place is probably a new favorite for me. All the food I've tried here has been amazing and Faith is such a kind and fun person to talk to. I'm excited to visit again!

Wonderful atmosphere. Great service and food. If it's on the board you gotta try the sweet and hot chicken wrap, and the fries OMG, old school goodness to the max. Truly mouth watering.
