Panera Bread

I never really wrote a review for Panera at the Glen Ellyn location before. This is my first time. Please look at the pictures that I attached. First picture was from September 30th 2025 and the second one from 1/13/2026. Do you eat burnt food? Moreover, eating burnt food can increase the risk of cancer. I called Panera customer service so many times. Those pictures just some of the bad experiences. So, a week later after each phone call, when I went back again my soufflé didn’t burn, so they seemed to do a better job. Well, here is the problem...the soufflé got better after the feedback. This is not a standard! I have to call and complain/feedback every time when the food doesn't cook properly. Don't they know how to cook? This is a big company! When I say Panera has lost me as a loyal customer I mean it. I order a sandwich this evening this is the third time my order has been incorrect but this time yall didn’t even attempt to wrap my damn sandwich and had everything at the bottom of my bag. If I lived closer I would have brought this crap back and got a full refund.

I like Panera bread where you can sit and talk or do work for hours without interruptions . It has self-ordering kiosks which is very helpful. My name is called when the order is ready and I go to the window and pick up my food. I like the layout where you have more privacy and it's not too loud. Service is decent but it can get busy sometimes. There is plenty of parking.

Apparently, shrink-flation now includes not giving you your whole order. I ordered carryout around 3PM on a Sunday (not peak hours). There was only one elderly couple in the dining area. The rest of the place was empty. I'd expect not getting my whole order from maybe Taco Bell or Burger King, but at the price Panera is charging I expect much more. I was very disappointed to get home to find I hadn't gotten all of my food. I checked the receipt and, yes, it was all there. I paid for it. I called and the options they gave me was to drive 20 minutes back there or they could send me a meal voucher. I opted for the meal voucher and gave my address. This one month ago and I have not received any voucher. If you go here, expect restaurant prices with the service of some rundown fast food joint.

Apple salad was ok, few apple slices. I performed my own service ie ordering, checkin, utensils, beverage, so my service was great, the store itself was very cold, temperature-wise. 😔
