Pancheros Mexican Grill - Dubuque

I have frequented here in the past and have always enjoyed it but recently it has gone down hill. I have a gluten allergy which makes it fairly difficult to eat at resturants but have always felt safe eating here as they have dedicated spoons for every topping. I've noticed recently that although every item has there own spoons the workers are choosing not to use them and instead are just putting there hands in each item. That totally invalidates the purpose of having the spoons in the first place and is generally kind of disgusting as your mixing food items as now your gloves are covered in many differnt ingredients. If you do not have a gluten allergy and don't mind the mixing of your ingredients then I would say the overall taste isn't bad alough the quality has gone down in recent year

While their food is quite good, all things considered, the customer service is at best lackadaisical, and at worst, it's most definitely far below subpar. They're rude, condescending and extremely snooty. Customer service can make or break a trip and purchase. This one totally broke it. But their food is really good. I've literally never had a bad meal from them ever.

We were told this place was good, it wasn't. The meat in my friend's burrito was dry, and we weren't told that the guacamole or sour cream would cost $2 extra each. We were asked if we wanted chips and salsa, we said yes not thinking it would add to the cost as we were not told that it would and the question was asked like it would be complimentary. The staff was rude, particularly the man who started our food. I could barely hear him and he did not speak louder when I said I couldn't hear him multiple times. The music was way too loud, making it impossible to hear eachother as we ate. All the tables were dirty, not a single one clean. There were also no straws. I felt rushed the whole time and quite frankly, I dont see myself going back.

The food quality is good, but the portion size on the tacos is ridiculous. I paid $10 for two tacos that looked like this. When I asked for more guacamole to the added, the young man the grudgingly flopped a whole extra scoop and made no eye contact and didn't even roll it back up. I feel like the newer employees from the last several months really don't care about customer service or portion control at all.

I understand they are trying to work quickly and efficiently, and it was a busy time when I walked in, but the customer can see all of that.
