Padoca is a local gem on Geary that you've probably driven past dozens of times. Take this as a sign to stop in and get something!! Their açaí is wholesome and flavorful, and not overly sweet - so good. I admittedly haven't experienced a lot of Brazilian breads, but everything I've had here is excellent quality and flavor (the pão de queijo and coxinha are addictive!) The owners are warm and kind, it's always a pleasure to chat with them as they prepare my order. Order ahead for pickup via WhatsApp (look it up on their IG: padocacafesf) and save yourself and the cafe from the DD/Uber fees. Or relax and enjoy your food at one of the small tables, in the buzzy cozy cafe atmosphere. Support your local businesses!!
Quaint little café with such amicable, welcoming staff. I love stopping by during my work break to grab lunch and enjoy a peaceful moment to myself. My go to orders are the Peanut Butter Lover and the chicken esfiha (hope I spelled that right!) both consistently delicious. Always a comforting spot in my day
Excellent service, good selection of Brazilian foods, drinks, and snacks. This used to be Sunstream Coffee but it was rebranded this year. I came here today for pão de queijo but they ran out of everything except coxinha. I decided to get a small cup of traditional açai ($11.95) and a big bag of biscoito de polvilho ($3.99). The açai was fruity and sweet as expected and the tapioca snack was plain and slightly salty but had a satisfying mouthfeel. There isn't much seating here; I sat at one of the two small tables outside because it was too warm to sit at the two tables inside. You'll find a small selection of Brazilian snacks and bottled drinks here in addition to the baked goods and freshly made drinks.
I’ve been coming to Padoca Cafe for a while, and it never disappoints. The coffee is consistently excellent, the pastries are fresh, and the staff make you feel welcome every time. Highly recommend!
I am from Brazil and a frequent visitor to Padoca. The service is top-notch, and the coxinhas, esfihas, and pastries are always delicious. The cheese bread reminds me of the cheese bread from Minas Gerais; everything is simply delightful. They are very authentic! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relive a taste of Brazil or learn about some Brazilian foods/ snacks. Not to mention the brigadeiros (chocolate treat), which are excellent! (coming from a brigadeiro addict). Our American friends love the cheese bread (pão de queijo), cheese pastel, coxinhas, overall pastries, and of course, açaí, guaraná , or coffee.
