Pacos Family Diner

Located in the Mountain View Lodge, "Dawn and Paco's Cafe" is the Pacos Family Diner. This space used to be the Mountain Bistro, serving Asian food with a vaguely Spanish decor. The new restaurant still has the sturdy benches and large tables of the bistro, but the wall decor is updated with cute local touches. We came for a late lunch, and ordered a couple of simple meals. My spouse ordered their "Smash Burger" - "I just like the name." I got the open-face dinner of biscuits, turkey, turkey gravy, and mashed potatoes with a side of mixed veggies. The Smash Burger turned out to be stuffed with onion and green pepper. "Smashing!" according to my spouse. Great Family diner! Convenient and close to the freeway. Everyone was so friendly and the food was really great and the brownies were so fudgy and good! We loved it and will for sure go again!

5 stars isn't enough, more like 10 stars. The food was really good, the service was great, the pricing was less then a combo meal at a fast food joint.

The food was delicious! No complaints at all. The bacon in particular was especially good on the burger. My only regret was not being hungry enough to try everything on the menu. I'm excited to go to back and try more things.

Restaurant looked the same as when it was a Chinese food place. The staff was friendly but slow to bring menus or drink refills. Food arrived quickly and was decent quality, but for the price was too much of a portion size. And they seemed to know it as 5 minutes in they asked if we wanted boxes. We brought half of our food home for dinner. They did not charge us for our Iced Tea or Coffee. The person whos supposed to take our money at the front counter was busy entering in a large order so i had to wait for the owner to come do it. Overall would go back but dissapointed in portions and service. This place may not last long.
