Oxford Public Library

Beautiful library. Friendly staff. I loved their kids' area, plenty of toys, crafts, and amazing programs. The adults reading re is gorgeous. And im not a teen, but i found really relaxing the huge color sheet, the wall activities, and the decor. There is a water fountain outside the restrooms.

I moved to Oxford a few months ago and took my two daughters ages 4 and 8 To the library for the first time today the staff was extremely helpful and super nice the facility is clean and there is even a separate area for the kids. They had tons of books, games, blocks and other toys.I don’t usually write reviews but my daughters had such a wonderful time at this library that I decided to. I met multiple staff members and all of them were Super nice and helpful. My daughters both got individual library cards and then a cute little pouch to put them in. They were able to check out their books on their own and got a little bag and receipt at the end which they loved. Its a great place to get work done when you need a quiet space but other than that, dont bother. I have been going there for over a year now consistently since it is the closet library to me, but the staff is just unfriendly. Do not ask questions or you will be spoken to like you are stupid- not matter the question. Mulitple desk staff including the front and the adult area are very curt, they never not look annoyed when assisting people (myself included), Ive over heard them making rude comments about the people who come in, and overall they make the space very uncomfortable. For example, I was told I was distrubing the main area with taking a 3 minute phone call with headphones on, this was WHILE muilple people where chatting around me, they were just in person INCLUDING the desk staff b

Super cozy double-sided fireplace + work area with a view. Don’t sleep on the Big Fish who greets you upon entering.

Went to Oxford Library today. Very nice place to visit and informational. Going tomorrow to the Historical Museum to see what information they might have on my family farm in Thomas. (Thomas rd. named after my great great grandparents.)
