Outback Steakhouse

We’ve been to a number of Outbacks over the past few years but this was our first visit to this one - and we can walk to it from our condo! It’s a square modern restaurant with not much character but plenty of tables, booths and at the bar dining. Menu is pretty long so lots of options to consider though we always have a steak! Our server looked after us and soon brought us bread and our drinks and not long after - our Bloomin onion - can’t resist it! The onion was as we remembered it with good flavour and as always not enough dipping sauce! Our main meals took forever to arrive - not sure why as restaurant was half empty . My delmonico ribeye was well cooked and very tasty especially with the chimichuri sauce. My wife’s fillet was quite overcooked so enjoyed it less than I did. The Cae

We arrived on a Saturday night at 5:30pm and it was not busy at all. We were seated right away. We didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. We ordered the new Trio sampler appetizer it came with Bloomin' Onion petals, Aussie Cheese Fries, and Fried Mozzarella Bloomerangs and comes with sauces for each..spicy bloom sauce, ranch, and marinara. All three were hot and delicious. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp lettuce. The warm pumpernickel roll was really good and soft. The sirloin was cooked at our preferred temperature and was cooked perfectly with a outer crust on the steak. Both the loaded potato and the loaded sweet potato were a little underwhelming. I’ve been to a lot of great Outback locations but this on is by far my favorite. We had the steak pasta and filet mignon. The food always comes out fresh and the staff are attentive. Mandy was our server - she was awesome. And the front of the house manager Ryan visited our table a few times to make sure we were doing okay. I even found out he’s a fellow Eagles fan - GO BIRDS! 🦅

At first, I had an uncomfortable moment because the waitress who was serving me got defensive when I asked how long dishes usually take to come out. Maybe she was stressed since she was acting as both bartender and waitress at the same time — although she was kind later on, the damage was already done. Now, talking about the food: their fried onion appetizer absorbs too much oil, and the lobster tail we were served was extremely small for a $40 dish. The only thing I can recommend 100% are their cocktails.

Greeted warmly and seated quickly. Husband had the petite steak with a salad and baked potato. The salad is a full meal and fresh. His steak had several fatty areas and he doesn’t like the fat. I had the lobster tails with sweet potato which was sweet and delicious. For me the lobster was undercooked by a couple of minutes. I had to leave some and on top of that they weren’t hot or even warm! Drinks were good!
