Otto Bruyns Public Library of Northfield

This library is adorable — if you come here to listen to the staff narrate their personal lives at full volume. Honestly, it’s less “public library” and more “open-mic night for bored employees.” Every time I try to read, I end up learning about someone’s weekend plans instead. Maybe hand out microphones next time so we can all hear clearly?

Recently remodeled, the library beams with joy. Community events are frequently offered, an array of books can be found and if your book is not there, they will order for you. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Computers are updated and available for use. They offer printing options at a very reasonable rate. Northfield's cozy gem.

I love this library. They are always doing something for the kids. Great programs, fun activities and it’s all free. My son was so excited to get this today.

Staff is very helpful & the library has good selection of programming, such as tech workshops, movie nights, and poetry readings. A large area of the library is for children. The library is small & quaint, but their wifi speed is very fast. I find it a very good, low-key place to go get some work done.
